Peculiar landscapes, weird people and wannabe telepaths, on top of my recent history, I was beginning to feel overwhelmed. And my mind had never been so busy.
Every fact was piling up on me, so much that it was suppressing my basic necessities. And that's when it hit me, the sudden urge to go to the bathroom. It made sense, but still caught me by surprise, and so I got up, put on my backpack and moved into the aisle.
I dared not go to the front car because of those women, so I hoped the back one had a bathroom. The door opened easily enough, and I moved into the small corridor between the cars, turning back to close the door. I looked through the opening as the door closed, and noticed the entire hooded group was staring at me.
The lock activated and put the hoods out of my mind.
I turned around, and found out the corridor was bigger than I thought, but almost pitch black. The only thing I could see was a door on my right, with two big fluorescent worn out letters on the top. A smile surfaced on my lips as I read the letters... it was a washing closet.
I pulled the lever and looked around inside. It was small and antique, but had the essentials. I locked the door behind me, and for a few moments everything outside that room vanished. I was pleased to check that all the plumbing worked, so I washed up and left the little room, feeling surprisingly good about myself.
I faced left, but quickly turned away and faced the other door. I needed to stretch my legs anyway.
So I grabbed the door handle and opened it in one continuous movement.
