I remained there, forehead pressed against the door, unable to move. I could hear humming all around me, but couldn't care less, in fact, I found myself completely devoid of emotion. It was a weird sensation. I understood what had just happened, saw it, felt it, and yet I could not manage to accept it. Like I had just woken up from a nightmare, but I knew I hadn't been dreaming.
I slowly managed to get up, climb the few metal steps and started crossing the car, back to where I had come from. I noticed the passengers had resumed talking, and the employees were as busy as before, but all I could hear was the constant humming, which was getting louder.
I opened the door and passed through it, but forgot to close it, so I turned back and slowly closed it.I slowly managed to get up, climb the few metal steps and started crossing the car, back to where I had come from. My ears popped, like I had suddenly experienced decompression. There was no more humming, instead, I could hear the different voices from the other side of the door, the train running on its tracks and even the sound of wind whistling through the cracks on the floor.
Then I started to shiver, and realised I was freezing, so much that I couldn't feel my toes. I turned around, intending to head back to my car and seat, but as I took the first step, an extreme nausea took me by surprise. I rushed into the WC, not bothering to know if anyone was in there, and in a continuous flow of spasms threw up on the toilet. The force of it was so intense that I fell to my knees and could barely breathe. I managed to pause for a few seconds, trying to calm myself, but it was useless, I just kept on vomiting.
I started tasting bile , and knew this torment was close to an end. A few spasms later, after expelling a considerable amount of that horrible liquid, I managed to lean against the wall and sat there, feeling exhausted.
