I finished my drink and motioned to leave the bar.
"Thank you sir. Please be aware that in about half an hour we shall be leaving."
I nodded at the barman, acknowledging the input, and proceeded to burn my feet on the scalding hot sand. So I ran, tip-toeing until my feet were covered in sea-foam and relief.
It felt really good to have the ocean washing my legs... which I only now noticed were covered...by my jeans...
A few profanities escaped my mouth as I blamed myself for being stupid, and then I realised I had a more clothes in my bag, back in the train. And as long as I was already wet, there was no reason to get away from the water, so I just started walking along the beach, feeling the waves on my legs.
I looked around the beach and realised I had unconsciously been searching for someone ever since I got off the train, but it was only at that moment that I knew whom I was searching for... the hoods. And so far, I had been unsuccessful in finding any trace of their presence. In fact, almost everyone busy packing their beach gear in order to go back to the train. As far as I could see, only three people remained calm: me, my suited friend who was standing a few hundred meters behind me, trousers pulled up and water at his knees, and the woman who was previously flirting with me at the trains bar. She was leaning against the beach bar's counter, enjoying a drink as far as I could tell.
